What goes down comes back up

What happens when you hear that gold and silver have dropped down over $200 in a matter of a week's time? To the lowest in 2 years? Disregard it....unless you are heavily invested in gold and or silver (then you need to see your doc to get that BP under control!). And even then, we'd say, sit tight. These precious metals are still valuable. Once the dust settles, they will climb back up. But it does make one blue while it's down.

As for those that have unwanted jewelry but now think they will not get enough, it is a slightly valid concern but you will still get a lot more than you think.
Now this change is not because we want to pocket more from you. But as gold goes up or down, so do the prices. All reputable buyers base their buying prices on the New York Spot Price. Yes, that price keeps changing but we use that as a basis to set the buying price.

Bottom line, here at Turn It To Cash, we treat you fair and square whether the market is $1900, $1600 or $1300! You know, just a few years ago, gold was in the $600 range! Imagine that for perspective.

Exceeding Expectations

Every week we have customers visiting us unaware of what to expect to receive for the jewelry they bring in. People bring in an assortment of gold and silver jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings in varying conditions, sometimes like new other times beaten and battered. They come in to sell their gold, not knowing how it will be.

Just this past week, we had a gentleman and his wife bring in their jewelry box, most of what they had thought was junk; they wanted to be sure before tossing the stuff out. They let us know they had been referred by a friend, one of our regular customers who let them know we are honest and trustworthy, providing the most competitive payouts in town. Our associate began by separating the jewelry into categories sterling silver, 18K gold, 14K gold, and 10K gold and proceeded to test each item, all the while explaining the process step by step.

We quoted them our price based on the weight of their unwanted, broken, scrap and the minute spot prices of gold and silver, a total of $700! Shocked and amazed that they would receive such a sum of money for what they were just ready to toss out, “Let’s do it before you change your mind,” they joked.

Here at Turn It To Cash, we exceed customer expectations of the silver and gold price per gram by up to 10 times. Feel free to stop by one of our two offices today, rest assured we guarantee your satisfaction and ensure you will be treated fairly and with optimal value.

Recycled Gold Recycled Silver

We all know gold has been mined from the earth. But mining and processing raw gold is not cheap nor easy. It is a multi billion dollar industry. 60 percent of the gold mined today becomes jewelry.

While we have data showing what happens to the 60% of mined gold, what happens to the remaining 40%? I do not know the precise answer to that just yet but am guessing investment demands and technological demands, like electronics, dental, medical and industrial use up the balance.

Interestingly, we can and do buy and recycle gold from all these areas. You know we buy jewelry of course. But did you know we buy industrial wires, dental gold, electronic components?
As long as we can test them, we can buy them.

And at our locations, testing is always done in front of you.

American Eagle Silver Coins....beauty and value

The Walking Liberty Silver 1 oz Coins are beautiful as well as valuable. Many people depend on these .999 fine silver rounds to preserve wealth and build portfolios. People also appreciate the artistic value of The Walking Liberty, also known as the American Eagle Coin. Two leading designers are responsible for these beautiful and highly coveted coins.

The obverse side of the American Silver Eagle's design was taken from the Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman, a sculptor and architectural sculptor born in Germany who arrived in the United States at the age of 10.
It was his design that originally had been used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin of the United States from 1916 to 1947. As this iconic design had been a public favorite and one of the most beloved designs of any United States coinage of modern times, it was revived for the Silver Eagle decades later.

The reverse side of the American Silver Eagle coin features a heraldic eagle behind a shield, with an olive branch and arrows. This spectacular design was designed by John Mercanti, an American sculptor and engraver. He was the 12th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint.
Mercanti has produced more coin and medal designs than any employee in United States Mint history.

These American Eagle coins were released in 1986 to the public and are minted in Gold and Silver. The demand for the silver far outnumber the gold. Just in it's 1st year of launch, 5,096,000 coins were sold in just 2 months.

The Silver Eagle is struck only in the one-troy ounce size, which has a nominal face value of one dollar and is guaranteed to contain one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver.
These coins are minted by the US Mint.

People are buying and selling American Eagle Silver Coins. It's a good coin to hold on to. Or to give as a gift. And should you get in a tight spot, you can sell them as they hold their value well.

Gimmick Free Money for Gold

Have you ever walked into a business and felt it's more gimmicks and games than an honest transaction? Here at Turn It To Cash, anytime you come in, it's a gimmick free zone. Our policy is to treat each and every customer the way we like to be treated. Add to that our extensive knowledge and background that gives us the ability to buy and pay the most to you with our higher gold prices.

As we test your jewelry to determine the value of gold or the value of silver, we educate you so you know what you have. We can't tell you how many times we've been told by customers who went to other places and were mis-informed about their gold or silver. It's disappointing to see the unscrupulous methods some businesses will adopt to make a few extra bucks. We have had many instances where a white colored chain that other places offered to buy as silver was actually White Gold, or even Platinum! The difference in payout of a sterling silver chain versus a 14K white gold can easily be 6000%.  Consider this and do yourself a favor - try to know what you have, in case you are going somewhere else to shop for gold prices.

With that said, there will be instances when what you have and what you think you have will not test to be that.
We have seen numerous chains marked 14K and they are nothing but brass. We have been told it's usually a woman, who says she and her family are in need of money, and if you can give $20, you can have this '14K gold chain'. Well, that chain is not even worth 5 cents.
Or a man will approach you with a deal of a lifetime - a '14K gold chain for 20 bucks'! This is usually in a parking lot. And again, the chain is a fake and worth nothing.
We also have experienced jewelry that is marked 22K but it tests lower than 18K.
How is that possible you ask? Well, pure gold is 24K, and when jewelry is made, the pure gold is cut down to standard jewelry making karats like 22K, 21K, 18K, 14K, 10K or even 9K. That is done by adding alloys into the pure gold into set percentages. Since this is a mainly manual process, some margin of error is present. Sadly, a few manufacturers in the jewelry industry are also unscrupulous like some of the gold buyers and they play with the gold content on purpose, stamping pieces a higher karat of gold but making it with a lower karat.

Wherever you go to sell gold, or sell silver, it's best to always know what you have. You want the most money for gold. Your knowing what you have will ensure that.
While we here at Turn It To Cash believe in honest and gimmick free service, that is not always what other gold buyers offer.

We don't mine it but sure do buy unwanted gold

The World Gold Council states it is rarer to find a one ounce nugget of gold than a five carat diamond.
Can you imagine stumbling upon this rock then? The largest ever true gold nugget weighed 2,316 troy ounces when found in Australia in 1869. Incredible!

Do you wonder where gold is being mined? That has changed over the years. 40 years ago, South Africa was the prime country producing gold.
Now China is not only the top consumer of the the yellow metal, but also the top producer of gold, a crown it swiped from South Africa in 2007. Australia, United States, Russia, Peru, Canada, Ghana, Indonesia and Uzbekistan join China and South Africa as the leaders in gold production.

We don't mine it but sure do buy your unwanted jewelry, coins, flatware, silverware, Native American jewelry, broken chains, dental gold, bars. Our background has been in the jewelry industry, giving us a better understanding and you the edge.
We welcome you to our location in Chandler, where we conduct all transactions right in front of you. No gimmicks here....we say what we do and do what we say!
